Brian Goldfarb:
--- Joint Legislative Resolution, from the NJ Senate and General Assembly, in honor of fencing achievements ---




WHEREAS, The Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey are pleased to honor and salute Brian R. Goldfarb, an admired young resident of the Township of Marlboro, Monmouth County, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in fencing; and,

WHEREAS, Brian R. Goldfarb, who is a freshman at Marlboro High School, won the Youth 14 Men's Foil at the Arnold Fencing Classic in Columbus, Ohio, on March 2, 2008; and,

WHEREAS, In capturing this prestigious event, Brian R. Goldfarb received a gold medal and trophy, which were presented by California Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar, the founder of the Arnold Sports Festival; and,

WHEREAS, Brian R. Goldfarb, who has been fencing for only three years, is an exemplary student at Marlboro High School, where he is a member of the tennis team, and he has received recognition from the Johns Hopkins Center for Academically Talented Youth; and,

WHEREAS, It is both proper and fitting for this Legislature to pause in its deliberations to commend the fencing talents of Brian R. Goldfarb, who has brought honor and pride to his family, his community, and this State; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved by the Senatre and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

That this Legislature hereby honors Brian R. Goldfarb, pays tribute to his meritorious accomplishments, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship as a fencer, and extends its sincere best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors; and,

Be It Further Resolved, That a duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the Senate President and the Assembly Speaker and attested by the Senate Secretary and the Assembly Clerk, be transmitted to Brian R. Goldfarb.
